Darwin can be built for PPC, you just have to run pure Darwin, you can't use 
XCode.

Second, while your strategy for emulation is a good one it won't work for 
running OS x 10.6 on PPC processors.

(It was the way they got Windows to run on 68030-era hardware..the company that 
made the emulator (and I cannot remember the name for the life of me)  had 
access to the Windows source code, and were able to cross-compile the libs, so 
it was more of a WINE-type 'emulation'.)
