iMac weapon!

I just got a first gen iMac G5... put a disk in the hummer, when to eject it and the iMac spit the thing half way across the room!! (small room) is it the felts that have worn out? or what is the problem? doesn't make me want to use the superdrive much.... ha ha! Jeff
