Thanks this clears up the problem. The catch here is the requirement of syncing each time you switch machines is a PITA the same result may be obtained with CCC, at least that's how I see it but I've surely been wrong in the past:-) What I had in mind was that once in a while I can update the two libraries after adding new files and deleting some on the two iTunes libraries by the use of Chrnosync. You mention rebuild libraries, how is that done I can't seem to find a way. The rebuild method in this case would be OK I guess at least would save remembering what folders to look for to bless.
