Do you have an old, maybe original to the MDD, video card to use to
see that other things are in order after a Safe Boot?
Then replace the Radeon 9800. Something about my Radeon 9800 Pro made
it a bit finicky in my Quicksilver 2002 Dual 1GHz. Once found it
better to do a Software Combo Update with the original nVidia GeForce
4MX in lieu of the 9800 ...
