I don't use much of the news feeds of my Mac, but if I recall
correctly, upgrading to SM 2.x wasn't much of an issue a while back
that I remember. You can create a quick compressed .zip file of
your .slt file in your home/mozilla/profiles/Default User/xxxxxxxx.slt
for backup to try again if the first go doesn't work out.
