Why do you need to upgrade the keyboard and mouse? Do they not work as they are now? Those early iMac keyboards have a good touch to them. As for the puck mouse, if you slightly alter the body mechanics you use for mousing, you'll find it easy to use. You just need to position it in the way it was meant to be held. Move your hand forward on it so that your palm covers the mouse and the base of your fingers (rather than the tips) control the button. Hold it so that the wire exits between your second and third fingers.
