No. And neither does Time Machine.
CCC works quite well, over the 'net, btw...

Just make sure you get the Target disk names spelled correctly ... I
don't believe CCC verifies things along that line, and just starts
copying to ... unless he's fixed that. Something about being difficult
to do over a network ... CCC over a LAN works great, otherwise.
