Water apparently takes a long time to evaporate in some areas on the planet! I guess it's kind of like the way electrons flow at different speeds off motherboards, when people are told to pull their PRAM battery for 5 minutes, 15 minutes, two hours, overnight,....

Ahh.  It's all relative.

I know when I accidentally went swimming with my iphone, i put it in a ziploc bag of rice with desiccant, and left it in the summer sun for 2 days.. worked ever since then.
