people in this group know the answer to my problem, accordingly:
Thanks to all who responded. Problem solved by downloading iTunes
9.2.1 upgrade and reinstalling. Must have been a application problem.

Apparently many people have had the same problem from what I read on
the internet. My iMac intel is connected to AppleTV by wifi and
AppleTV sees my network. I don't know whether or not my computer sees
the AppleTV as I have no way of telling. Apple communities are no
help. Hope someone can help me with this problem and that I am asking
the right group.
