I once overclocked a 1.42 to 1.5. I think 1.25 to 1.42 may be a stretch, but it might work. I Googled on the usual suspects and got a photo which showed the four chip resistors and a description of which gave which multiplier. The board is a rather thick 6- or 8-layer job, and desoldering a chip resistor is difficult, while soldering (or re-soldering) a chip resistor is nearly impossible. I cannot remember whether so-called "zero-ohm" resistors were used, or pull-ups were used. In either case, the thermal issues are the same. -- You received this message because you are a member of G-Group, a group for those using G3, G4, and G5 desktop Macs - with a particular focus on Power Macs.
