I suspect a s/w problem/conflict but that's just a guess based on years of experience with nutscrape, mozilla, thunderbird products. OTOH, the very latest Safari seems to be super stable as compared to former versions of that browser. As an aside, the op is obviously running intel, (as am I), but that group seems not to have the traffic as the "g" group. G' Day!
