Are you using any themes and plugin on camino? flash heavy web
browsing? Camino might be hanging onto requested memory.

I first noticed it on a 64 bit Intel "optimized" version so I downloaded the standard version and it loaded pages just as slowly.Camino's prefs are set to block web ads and Flash, though I don't have Flash installed (use Google Chrome instead).

No Camino specific plug-ins or themes.

Internet Plug-ins I do have installed are:

ClickToFlash
Evernote Safari
GoogleEarth
iGetter
iPhotoPhotocast
JavaPlugin2_NPAPI
JavaPluginCocoa (bundle)
npContributeMac (bundle)
nsIQTScriptablePlugin (xpt)
Quartz Composer
QuickTime
