Anyone here who've used a Firewire SATA enclosure that's bootable and care to send me the make and model.
All of LaCie's Quadra series drives that I've used are bootable. They come in many flavors, various interfaces etc. The cases of the ones I've used are quite sturdy, but easily openable - so you can update / replace the drive mechanism therein. IOW, these tend to be high-end enclosures. They're available from the usual venues.
Right now I have a d2 Quadra on my desk - SATA internal, and USB2, FW400, FW800, and eSATA external.

One with Ethernet would be sweet
