AnandTech has posted their review of the new Sandy Bridge -based
MacBook Pro line. Very hardware oriented, very indepth, with good
comparisons. They even go into SSD performance and such. A great
read - perfect for us folx what like to get our hands into the
hardware!

They even addressed a specific question I had: is Apple using the
fixed i/o chip? (Yes, they are!). This was a show-stopper IMO; if
Apple was slumming, this would be a generation to skip.
I'm about half-way thru the review now. Two issues of note so far:
1. The benchmark results on the bottom of page 2 made me angry.
Apple is slacking off.
2. Very annoying that the reviewer had to use Windows to find out
the i/o chip details!
FWIW,
- Dan.
