I'd stay with the G4 DA, investing the money into upgrades. First, memory: 1GB Ram should be enough. Second, maybe, a processor upgrade; I think you could find something cheap on eBay. I have a G4 DA as well, originally 667 MHz, now with 1GB Ram and a 1.4 GHz CPU upgrade. I'm using it professionally for DTP, with Adobe CS3... so it's still a very good machine, being born in 2001. :-) Another advantage of having a desktop unit, you can easily upgrade its components: apart from Ram, I changed several HDs, added a GeForce 4 video card and USB2 card, etc. (you can't do most of that with an eMac). -- You received this message because you are a member of G-Group, a group for those using G3, G4, and G5 desktop Macs - with a particular focus on Power Macs.
