I only have experience of this from my PC days and I used 'ps3 media server'. It was light, free and did the job. It is also available for mac on macupdates and runs on Leopard. I would try it and save $20.

Actually says "Cannot launch "PS3 Media Server" ... No compatible version of Java 1.6+ available.
