So the US ones I saw that come at around 150 USD and are labelled "used" may just as wel have the crappy capacitors still on?

A search on ebay (uk) shows two new g5 boards, one for a 17" imac and one for a pro, both £400.

Capacitor repair kits are available for £13.

It's a matter of soldering on 31 capacitors.

Give the cost of parts, the time and faff on, Andy TheMac's offer of £60 is reasonable.
