Apple releases Windows drivers for it's hardware, not 'enablers for other operating systems'; BootCamp is just a bootloader. There is no 'enabler for Linux'...you can take ANY Linux distro for X86 and install it on a Mac; you need nothing from Apple. Some hardware may not work well, pending driver issues, but that's true of lots of hardware.
