radeon 9800 pro

I just got a Radeon 9800 Pro Mac Edition 256 card. It says its an AGP card yet it does not fit in the AGP slot on my QS G4 933. The slots don't line up at all. I did the "tape" mod on pins 3 and 11. It is a "G5" card (8x) but I am fairly certain the G4 and G5 have the same AGP. What am I missing? Thanks
