No version of OSX will run very well in just 320 mb of ram. Heck no version of Ubuntu will run so hot in that little ram, either. At the very least get it up to 512 megs or more; then 10.4 is probably your safest bet; 10.2 is essentially obsolete and 10.3 is rapidly becoming so. While there's a TON of stuff that won't run on 10.4, at least there is software stillactively being developed for it.
