AFAIK, the G4 Ti (I own a Ti 4600 128MB) is way faster than the FX 5200.
The FX 5200, although newer, is really a very-low-end video card.

The FX 5200 could have newer features (shaders, etc.) not present on the Ge4
Ti, but that don't make it faster, just more compatible with newer games.

It's like comparing an "old" Porsche to a "new" compact car. ;-)

Oh, sure there are! The FX 5200 is just not one of those! ;-D

A Radeon 9800 Pro, for example, could be better than the Ge4 Ti (not sure,
check some benchmarks). There are some on eBay (both made for Mac and PC
flashed).

I remember the G5 having a (slightly) modified AGP connector.
You better check for compatibility/modifications, to avoid problems with
your card.
