I keep a AirLink USB N dongle with a RALink driver  in my MBP bag in case I 
need to have wireless on someones machine if they don't 
have AirPort So far it works on iMac G3 USB 1.1 OS X up to my Mac Pro  but on 
USB 1.1 its B speed just like the original AirPort.
