No paper clip access. Ideas? The optical drive does have a paper clip access hole, it's just difficult to get to it. You can try 1) pulling down on the outer drive door cover while applying gentle pressure with your fingertips. If you can get the door open this way you can see the access hole. 2) open the side of the G4, twist the optical drive 90 degrees sideways while leaving the power and IDE cable connected, load the disc, then put the drive back in place.
