10·4·11 only understands WEP and LEAP wireless security schemes. 10·5·x understands these and WPA wireless security. 10·6·x and later (such as your iDevices) understand all of these and WPA2. If this is the reason, scaling back the security on your network to either none or WEP will allow the 10·4·11 macs to join the network. (No security for more time than it takes to make this experiment is not recommended! I believe it's worthwhile setting the router not to broadcast the SSID [name of the wireless network] so that you have to know it and type it into the device you wish to connect.) Can you push the cube and Quicksilver up to 10·5·x and so use the strong WPA security scheme?
