What program are you trying to get the halftone image to print from? Photoshop on it's own has some capabilities in this area, and if you are going to do a lot of images, and or you want more control on the finished look, you might consider Andromeda's Screens filter/plug-in for Photoshop, it gives you a great deal of control on the size of the halftone dots, the pattern, the threshold level, and more. The filter is great, but it's not cheap.
