I found the following possibilties:

http://www.hornware.com/, directory sharing. I haven't tried it myself. It 
might not be what you were looking for. Using Yaboot to create a dual boot 
would be something
to consider, although I see some negative stories on other discussion forums 
about Yaboot.

I just entered two separate words yaboot and os 9.1 in Google. On 
http://www.creativepro.com/article/dual-booting-os-x-the-safe-way-to-explore-the-future
 there is a blog
with some good tips and guidelines when creating a dual boot setup on a Mac. 

I guess I haven't found the silver bullet yet, but maybe it could be help you.
