I would buy an AirLink Wireless N 150 Ultra Mini USB Adapter. I've bought several on eBay and they work terrific on "Tiger and Leopard" G4-G5 Towers we have at home on our network. They come with drivers for Mac OS 10.4 10.5 10.6 (Intel) and PPC OS 10.4 and 10.5. Simple to install. They work great and you have Wireless N technology. They also give the option of WPA2/WPA-SPK security.
If eBay makes you squeamish try amazon or other vendors online. Dean Mirtle Sacramento, CA. So I ended up getting a dual 1.8 G5, 2 gigs of ram [4x512] and a 500gb hard drive. There looks like 4 open ram slots. I found this G5 locally and for only $60, so my upgrade problems are solved for the moment. G5 came with no Airport card or antenna, one of the reasons for the low price. A while back I recall reading a suggestion that it might be better and faster to install a pci wirless card instead of Airport. Anyone have suggestions on a specific card for a good price? -- You received this message because you are a member of G-Group, a group for those using G3, G4, and G5 desktop Macs - with a particular focus on Power Macs.
