While I will admit I haven't tried this in awhile, I always had good luck 
getting full-motion playback from YouTube videos by downloading them (which I 
believe is more difficult now than it was a few years ago) and playing back the 
downloaded .flv file with VLC. If you can find a way to get the source file 
downloaded, you may have even better luck. I used an extension called 
DownloadHelper, but I don't think it works outside of Firefox. 

If you want to, you can try your luck with that. And keep thy Pismo alive!
