The case got bent, the hard drive and video card were dislarged on arrival.
When received there was no anchor screw in the video card slot and no sled for
the HD. The video card was reseated and appears OK, the hard drive is toast.

The G5 will boot from a retail OS 10.4 install DVD. It will also boot from a
external FireWire 10.4.11 drive. All appears OK for the short time I had it
running.

Conerns;
1. Damaged/Leaking LCS -- how to inspect it.
2. Hard drive cables and connectors -- no  SATA drive at hand to test (one
cable was found disconnected from the motherboard.

The seller has offered to:
1) send a new case
2) OR offer some $$ compensation

Questions:
1) Would anyone want to use this as production computer? All my production
software is Mac PCI based.

2) How hard is it to take all guts out of this G5 and reassemble in a new case?
Any propriety tools needed? And how to find  "take a part" instructions? I'm up
for a challenge --but is it worth it ???

3) Just live with the bend up case and get a few dollars off purchase price
after all the Mac is 9 years old.

Somewhat disappointing to finally get G5 and receive it in a damaged condition.
Sort'a like buying a classic Corvette and getting slammed by a distracted
driver while stopped at a traffic light on its first drive. OTOH it is a
challenge to restore what is left to restore.

All responses welcomed, thanks --glen
