Is Migration Assistant a blunderbuss all-or-nothing tool? Or can it be managed to just the few programs I need... basically I need MAIL archives and accounts to move over, I need browser online passwords and keychain stuff to move over... I want the G5 to be NOT used for any on-line functions and relegated to it's work as an editing system. The intel is the home workhorse.

Never having done it correctly, what;s the procedure for transitioning getting all email, passwords for websites and all that stuff off the G5 and working on the 1.8.3 intel core duo 10.6.8v intel iMac without losing function and archives?
thanks

Boot the G5 in firewire target mode, connect it to the Intel and use Migration Assistant to move everything over.
