Um... I don't use Firefox very often, so this is perhaps just a FF usage issue... With the bookmarks window open, I told it to import data from another browser. It listed Safari and all the items were checked. It finished in about 1 second. But then where did the bookmarks go? They're not showing up on that window or menu.

Try clicking in the Bookmarks menu, the first option: "Show All Bookmarks" (I don't know if is really this option, mine is in portuguese). For default, the Firefox don't put the bookmarks into menu, you need to move it to there.

I've got that window open. All I see are the default bookmarks, none of the thousands I imported.
