Yeah it should work. You're right about the high versus low density on some 
macs, dunno if it applies to the G5 in question (you didn't mention which G5 
model you got). A reliable source for memory configuration info (and memory!) 
is Data Memory Systems <http://www.datamemorysystems.com>

If DMS says your mac can have 'X' configuration and 'Y' max ram, they're right.
