I've ordered a usb HD connector to test the drive. And, of course, it ramps up awareness of need to back up consistently. Fortunately, as mentioned, this drive is used only for PPC apps which really amounts only to iMovie 5. I transfer files from my MBP and export vids to vimeo so nothing of importance gets parked on the drive.
