Thanks, lot of good info, particularly the pinout diagram.
I do have a "spare" PS from another G5 2.5 MHz LCS that was severely damage in
shipping. Don't know if the damage included that PS. I found a couple of
YouTube videos on replacing and taking apart the G5. Looks a little daunting
but at least a have another dead G5 to practice on.
Recently sold off all my old Mac's except for one G4. Transferred the critical
G5 files to that G4 so I'm back in business. And I finally got to use that USB
2.0 to SATA/IDE adapter I bought an couple of years ago!
Just when I thought I was done tinkering with Mac's now I have another project.

You can find the G5 power supply pinout diagrams on this site that shows how to
rebuild the power supply.
<http://www.item-innovacion.es/en/PowerMac_G5_PSU_Repair.html>
The G5 power supplies can be expensive, or hard to find, so in addition to DIY
repair, there’s other sites that show how to convert a standard ATX power
supply to work in the G5 as a lower cost, more readily available kludge
solution.
