Hi, i'm trying to backup a dell optiplex 270 hard drive to an ftp server. While booting from the g4u 2.1 cd everything seems ok until i try to connect to the ftp server. As we don't use a dhcp server i've specified the ip configuration manually. ifconfig wm0 w.x.y.z netmask 255.255.255.0
but i can"t connect to my ftp server. The network card is a gigaethernet INTELPRO and seems correctly detected by g4u and disply under the devicename wm0. But no packet are sent on the network :(.
