I'm trying to use v2.1 on some new HP hardware and have run into two problems. For one I've found a workaround but for the second I haven't.

1. PS/2 keyboard won't work at default bios settings. I see the error...

kbc: cmd word write error

...during bootup. If I disable 'USB Legacy Support' in bios this one goes away. We can do this so this is not a show stopper (though on potentially hundreds of machines it is not ideal to have to change bios settings to image). I mention it so there can be a record of the issue.

2. No ethernet device is found. This one is a show stoppper. These are new HP dx5150 MT computers. They are AMD based with Athon 64 3000 cpus and what looks like an AMD built motherboard. The only identifier I see is MS-7050 v2.0. The ethernet interface is a Broadcom. I believe the following dmesg snippet is pertinent to the problem.

bge0 at pci2 dev 0 function0: Broadcom BCM5751 Gigabit Ethernet
bge0: interrupting at irq 11
bge0: RX CPU self-diagnostics failed!
bge0: chip initialization failed

Looks like a driver problem to me I'm no expert. I can tell you that Knoppix 4.0.2 works on this computer so there would appear to be driver information out there however.

I'm not familiar enough with *BSD to know which messages indicate chipset information but if they are needed and you tell me what to look for I'll gladly supply the data.

Any suggestions for resolving this?
