Dear reader,

I tried to clone partitions locally with g4u v2.1. It appears that g4u can
only clone wd1g to wd0g if the target partition already exists. What I
intended to do was to copy wd1g to drive wd0 where no g partion exists
yet.

Is there a way to force it?

Concerning my current problem, I first cloned wd0 to wd1. I removed wd0
from the system. For enlarging my Windows partitions I had to delete my
Linux partitions and successfully enlarged my Windows partitions with
Partition Magic 7. I then reconnected the old drive as wd1, and wanted to
copy my Linux partitions back, but it failed.

g4u reported:

g4u > copypart wd1g wd0g
0 0.00kB/s dd: /dev/rdw0g: Device not configured

Can I do this with g4u?

Thanks for reading,
....Lutz
