I've just bought a larger secondary hard-drive (going from 40GB => 80GB). However, it fits in the modular bay where my optical drive (CD-RW/DVD drive) is. What I want to do is clone the 40GB hard-drive (currently the primary hard-drive on my computer) to the new secondary 80GB hard-drive -- which I will insert via a hard-drive sled into the modular bay.

However, to boot g4u, I need to use the CD-ROM drive with the boot-CD. Yet, I would need to remove the CD-bay to put in the hard-drive I want to clone the old hard-drive to. So, how am I to do this?

Can I boot g4u from a USB CD-ROM/DVD drive? What about ejecting the g4u CD after I've booted, and then inserting the secondary hard drive in it's hard-drive sled?

I don't have access to an FTP server with enough space to clone my hard-drive that way.
Using Tomcat but need to do more? Need to support web services, security?
