Not sure that will work.

What Im using G4U for is to back up and image Windows XP/Windows 2000
machines to a network/ftp server.

Hi !

Maybe you should try the LRS http://lrs.linbox.org
It has features similar to G4U, but drivers are a lot more up-to-date
and 
works on all our recent laptops.
