OK, didn't see that... But, I'm surprised there is anything much there that is
relevant to the NIC and how it functions on the network.

What g4u version do you use
The latest downloaded, g4u 2.2 CD ISO

What exact command(s) did you use
Slurppart 192.168.16.2 c_drive.gz wd0e
Ifconfig -a
Ifconfig fd0e 192.168.16.254 netmask 255.255.255.0

What exact output did you get (all of it, 1:1, no interpretation on your own)?
All tests and observing the g4u setup indicates that no DHCP address was
acquired. You can see numerous attempts to acquire a DHCP address without
success

If the system hangs during boot: what are the last five lines printed on the
screen (again all three of them, verbatime)
No hanging

What does "disks" say? "parts"?
FWIW, this is the readout, but the disk and partitions are read fine.
Disks
Wd0 at atabus0 drive 0: <FUJITSU MHV2200BT PL>
Wd0 drive suports 16-sector PIO transfers, LBA48 addressing
Wd0: 186 GB, 387621 cyl, 16 head, 63 sec, 512 bytes/sect x 390721968 sectors
Wd0: drive suports PIO mode 4, DMA mode 2, Ultra-DMA mode 5 (Ultra/100)

(I'll skip the partition info unless you <really> think you need it...)

If you have some problems with some network card or disk driver, please include
the relevant parts from "dmesg" output (scroll down with 'space')
Intel i82573L Gigabit Ethernet (ethernet network) at pci2 dev0 function 0 not
configured

(I don't see any other lines that either report an error or likely relate to a
networking problem)

What operating system, filesystem type and FTP server software do you use on
your FTP server?
XP SP2, NTFS, Win2K3 FTP Server

HTH,
TZU

Please provide the data requested at
http://www.feyrer.de/g4u/#bugreporting, it's impossible to say anything
without that
