Sounds a bit like a permissions problem with the NFS export on the server 
thats providing the pxe image or at least I got this exact same message when I 
changed the ip range that my dhcp server was providing without allowing access 
to the NFS share on the server to machines from the same range. 

First thing I would double check anyway.
