Crikey, that's what I call a quick response! Looks like just a few 
#define's to sort out from the headers, and it ought to work elsewhere. 
I see your name in the headers, too...

I suspect (given the historical records) that I'll be lazy and cut out 
any curses/tty-specific crud (ahem - useful stuff), and go for a 
cut-down basic for my job this weekend. If I do come up with anything 
useful, I'll share it, of course.
