FYI for anyone using g4u on HP Compaq dc-series machines:
Just tested g4u on a new dc7700. The 7700 changes from an integrated
Broadcom nic to Intel, but there is no support in g4u for the integrated
nic. On the dc7600, g4u would hang unless you disabled the on-board
Broadcom nic, but it does not hang with the 7700's integrated Intel nic
enabled. Using an off-board nic, g4u 2.2 would not provide speeds
greater than roughly 3.5 MB/sec, even with the nic manually set to
100BaseTX Full-duplex. Using g4u 2.3beta3, speeds were back up around
23 MB/sec.
Hubert - great program. Keep up the good work.
Thanks
David
