When booting to the CD it does not work.

it seems to accept the hard disk fine, but the CDROM is sata as well,
and seems to be where the problems arise.

Here is the output:

wd0 at atabus 0 drive 0 <stuph>
wd0: drive supports 16-sector PIO transfers, LBA48 addressing
wd0: 76293 MB, 15509 cyl, 16 head, 63 sec, 512 bytes/sect x 156250000
sectors
wd0: 32-bit data port
wd0: drive supports PIO mode 4, DMA mode 2, Ultra-DMA mode 6 (Ultra/133)
wd0(viaide0:0:0): using PIO mode 4, DMA mode 2, Ultra-DMA mode 6 (Ultra/133)
wd1 at atabaus0 drive 0; <ST506>
wd1: drive supports 1-sector PIO transfers, chs add
69632 KB, 1024 cyl, 8 head, 17 sec, 512 bytes/sect x 139264 sectors
wd1(viaide0:1:0): using PIO mode 0
viaide0:1:0: wait timeout
wd1d: device timeout reading fsbn 0 (wd1 bn 0; cn 0 tn 0 sn 0), retrying

(repeats last 2 until it does this:)
wd1: dos partition I/O error
(then continues with those last 2 again)

I checked in the BIOS for a sata operations setting of "combination..
and the only options were raid on/off

anyone?
