That was fast. :-)

I burned a CD using the MIDS ISO and copied the support files to the FTP
server. I also created a DNS entry that points mids.ourdomain to the IP
address of the FTP server. When I boot off the MIDS CD it gives an error
saying autoexec.sh can not be found. I discovered that for some reason the
MIDS CD doesn't pull DHCP when it loads. The DHCP with G4U has always
worked with no problems.

So I setup the IP address etc manually and connected to the FTP Server.
Then using the source code on the MIDS website as a reference I ran all the
commands that are supposed to run automatically at boot. (copy then chmod
the autoecec.sh) Then I ran the autoexec.sh manually. It starts running
then gives another error saying it can't find the other files.

My only idea at this point is that it is failing to access the anonymous ftp
server. I am running Filezilla server, and just setup a user called
anonymous and didn't require a password. Will that work? Thanks for the
help.

I set up MIDS to work on my G4U server, Mason. What part of it isn't
working? Just failing to load in general?

Subject: [g4u-help] MIDS

Does anyone else have any experience using MIDS as a front end with G4U? I
setup G4U at several locations with no problems, but I can't get MIDS to
work. Does anyone have any experience with MIDS or any other menu driven
front ends for G4U. I have several people working with the IT staff who are
not comfortable running a command line app like G4U. Any help would be
appreciated.
