Did you mean:

*Interrupt the boot countdown by pressing the ESC key;
*Type "boot cd0a:netbsd -c disable agp0" without the quotes;
*Then press the enter key?

If so, it doesn't work on my wife's system. (She went off on a business
trip so now I have plenty of time to work on her machine.)

The interesting thing is that RiPLinux 2.9 won't boot, and neither does
Fedora Core 6. In fact none of the Linux flavors I've tried so far will
boot. I haven't tried the Ubuntu or CentOS CDs. I think it is related
somehow to the ethernet controller. There is an onboard Nvidia ethernet
controller and a Realtek R8169 adapter that I've installed but not
loaded a driver for. With the Linuxes booting 2.6.1x or 2.6.2x kernels,
the system hangs soon after the kernel attempts to load the forcedeth
driver. I think the early forcedeth versions were not usable but then
later kernel versions shipped with improved, working versions.

Another issue might be that my wife uses two monitors, not one, on her
GeForce video card.

So the short answer is, since g4u won't boot, I can't use it to clone my
wife's drive. I will have to fiddle with the source until I can get it
to work.

Thanks

Bob
