Still the same problem with 2.4 alpha.

Also the DBAN CD won't work either (bootable Linux console CD with HD wiping).

I'm now wondering if the screen corruption is being caused by the RAM getting 
corrupted instead.  Maybe this is somehow related to the non-Intel CPU?

Anyway, I backed it up with partimage, so I don't have an immediate need for 
g4u on this machine.  I will be happy to test with it if you need me to.
