hello, as Stefan Weiss in his post "g4u not booting on a Mac Pro", i've got the same problem on a HP Pavillon laptop (model is zv5208EA).
The boot of g4u v2.3 hangs on the timecounter line. And nothing else happens after. I've also tried the 2.4a version and there is the same effect but it happens one line before timecounter : isapnp0: no ISA Plug 'n Play devices found Then, nothing... I don't known how to dump the system hardware specs in a convenient way, so let me know if you want me to do it.
