Hi, sorry that it took me so long to find the time to try your suggestions, but here goes:
> 1) g4u 2.4alpha1, see http://www.feyrer.de/NetBSD/blog.html?-tags=g4u Doesn't boot on the Mac Pro. Last lines before the system hangs: isa0... attimer0... pcppi0... sysbeep0 ... isapnp0 ... npx0 ... pcppi0: attached to attimer0 isapnp0: no ISA Plug 'n Play devices found [grey cursor box] > 2) a NetBSD-current ISO, from > ftp://ftp.netbsd.org/pub/NetBSD-daily/HEAD/200712030002Z/iso/i386cd.iso This does work. I didn't try to actually install NetBSD, but at least I got to the installer screens, and I got a usable shell. HTH... If I can do anything else to help you debug, just tell me. BTW, getting g4u to run isn't critical for me, because I only needed to copy one internal HDD to a second internal HDD, and I can do that manually with a Linux live CD and dd. stefan ------------------------------------------------------------------------- SF.Net email is sponsored by: Check out the new SourceForge.net Marketplace.
