g4u 2.3 CD ISO version is supposed to have 3ware support, but a dmesg
run from the console does not even show the hardware and the disks
command reports no devices whatsoever.

Is there some magic to making 3ware work? Some parameter? I hesitate
to call this a "bug" since I assume I have done something wrong and that
everything on the ISO is as it should be.

We wanted to evaluate g4u as a baremetal recovery system for our
production servers, but it does not seem to provide 3ware support
despite the claims of the website. We downloaded the latest compressed
ISO to no effect, other projects which leverage g4u as a component (such
as the Ultimate Boot CD) also have the same exact problem. It is as if
the shipped version does not have the kernel modules compiled.

In particular, lspci on the system reports the following from the native
OS:

84:00.0 RAID bus controller: 3ware Inc 9650SE SATA-II RAID (rev 01)

This is a PCI express card, 8 port configuration configured with a
single RAID volume.

Any other data can provided upon request. Your time, patience and help
are sincerely appreciated.

Sincerely,

Aaron
